I've added my new painting to the Wealthy Pruett Story:

                                                                                                          Painting by John Clinard, 2011
Below is a conceptual painting of Wealthy with Joseph Austin and Wealthy’s mother, Sarah. The year was 1760. Wealthy was 20, Joseph was 30 and Sarah was 50. Dan Pruett, Wealthy’s father, had been dead for five years. Her brother had been killed in the French & Indian War two years earlier. Joseph had just married another woman. Wealthy had recently given birth to Fanny, her first child, and had been charged with bastardy. The father was Joseph. Times were getting rough for Wealthy and Sarah.  Keep reading the story and you will discover how they survived, as well you will discover how Wealthy and Joseph’s love for each other produced problems and solutions. Meanwhile Sarah held the Pruett family together overcoming much adversity. The place was frontier Southside Virginia under British Colonial rule until 1776, the new day for America, and the beginning of Wealthy and Joseph’s life together as husband and wife.
